Dr. Shane's chiropractic approach is a blend of various techniques & influences along with his experience having cared for thousands of patients around the globe. He is known for his gentle touch & effective adjustments helping patients achieve their health goals. After a physical examination, adjustments are performed by hand and/or instrumentation (adjusting tools) based on patient needs.
The Zone technique aims to balance your brain to then heal your body. When the brain centers and systems of the body, also known as Zones, are in sync your body functions better in everyday life. Adjustments can be performed by hand and/or adjusting tools. Think of it like restarting your computer when it’s acting funny.
The Zone Technique was developed in the 1930's as a method of addressing disturbances in the body by balancing its 6 main systems, also known as Zones. This approach is a spinal cord stimulation technique that sends signals from the spine (negative pole of the nerve system) up to the brain (positive pole of the nerve system). Each system has a corresponding part of the brain that regulates that system. By stimulating the spinal cord with a specific adjustment, systems of the body can be targeted for treatment.
This method is taught by Dr. Pete Goldman, D.C. Dr. Shane spent years mentoring under Dr. Goldman at his clinic, now located in Berkeley, CA.
The Level Pelvis Method
The Level Pelvis method, highly effective for hip, low back, pelvis, and pregnancy work. When the pelvis is balanced, life is more comfortable for mother & developing child. Gentle adjustments performed by hand and adjusting tools. Just as a house must be built on solid foundation, a balanced pelvis is the foundation for stacking the human spine in gravity.
Advanced Adjusting & the Level Pelvis Method were developed by Dr. William J. Ruch, D.C., owner North Oakland Chiropractic Clinic and of faculty member at Life Chiropractic College West. Dr. Shane mentored with Dr. Ruch at his clinic in Oakland, CA while completing his doctorate.
Advanced Adjusting Techniques
No cracks, pops, or twists involved in this adjusting technique. System of gentle adjustments helping reduce stress and tension throughout the body. Highly effective for patients recovering from trauma with high pain levels & limited mobility, i.e. pre-surgery, post-surgery, accidents, injuries, etc. Adjustments performed with gentle adjusting tools.
